This ceramic capacitor from Kyocera AVX is a high voltage MLCC chip designed for 600V to 5000V applications. It features a capacitance of 8200 pF with a rated voltage of 1000V (1kV). The capacitor uses C0G/NP0 dielectric, providing a stable temperature coefficient with minimal capacitance change over temperature. The operating temperature range is -55°C to 125°C.
This capacitor is suitable for applications such as snubbers in high frequency power converters, resonators in SMPS, and high voltage coupling/DC blocking. The larger physical size of the 2225 case (5.72mm x 6.35mm) is used to achieve the high voltage rating. It is designed for surface mount assembly and should be reflow soldered only. The termination is plated Ni and Sn, RoHS compliant.
