The Nicomatic CMM Series connector system, including the 221T26F21, is a micro connector with a 2mm pitch, distinguished by its high reliability under extreme environmental conditions. It supports mixed contact arrangements for board-to-board, board-to-wire, and wire-to-wire applications, allowing for coaxial, high-frequency, high-current, optical fiber, and signal contacts.

Terminals are available for PCB, SMD, Press Fit, and crimp applications. The integrated fastening and screwing system ensures connection reliability, and the highly temperature-resistant insulator is suitable for infrared and vapor phase soldering processes. The 2mm pitch design contributes to space-saving.

This connector system is engineered for demanding markets such as aerospace, defense, instrumentation and control, and transportation. Applications include IFES, HUDs, surveillance systems, radar systems, mobile communications, power supplies, industrial computers, and engine monitoring. It is also utilized in some medical, telecommunications, and industrial applications.

Tested to ESCC 3401 standards, the CMM connectors demonstrate robust performance, including high insulation resistance (400,000 MΩ at 500V DC), voltage proof of 1200V RMS, and low contact resistance (8.7 mΩ for signal contacts). Environmental testing includes sinusoidal and random vibration, shock, bump, dry heat up to 125°C, and damp heat cycles.
