The LMZ12002 SIMPLE SWITCHER power module is an easy-to-use step-down DC-DC solution from Comchip Technology. It is capable of driving loads up to 2A with high conversion efficiency, line and load regulation, and output accuracy.

This power module accepts an input voltage rail between 4.5V and 20V and can deliver an adjustable output voltage as low as 0.8V. The LMZ12002 requires minimal external components, typically three resistors and four capacitors, to complete the power solution. It offers robust protection features including thermal shutdown, input under-voltage lockout, output over-voltage protection, short-circuit protection, and output current limiting.

The LMZ12002 is available in an innovative package that enhances thermal performance and allows for hand or machine soldering. It features an integrated shielded inductor and a simple PCB layout, making it suitable for space-constrained and high thermal requirement applications. The module also supports flexible startup sequencing and fast transient response.
