The 20KPA240A is a unidirectional TVS diode from Littelfuse's 20KPA series, designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other events. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 240V, minimum breakdown voltage of 267V, and maximum clamping voltage of 387V at a peak pulse current of 52.2A (10/1000µs waveform). With a peak pulse power dissipation of 20kW and steady state power of 8.0W, it offers robust protection. The device can handle a peak forward surge current of 400A (8.3ms) and has a fast response time typically less than 1.0ps. It is housed in a P600 axial leaded package for through-hole mounting, with matte tin lead-free plating. Operating temperature range is -55°C to 175°C. The 20KPA240A is RoHS compliant and halogen free, with ESD protection up to 30kV (air and contact) per IEC 61000-4-2. It is suitable for protecting I/O interfaces, VCC bus, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer applications.
