The JST FMN series 20FMN-BMT-A-TF(LF)(SN) is a 20 position, 1.00mm pitch FFC connector designed for surface mount assembly. It features a vertical, one-sided contact configuration and a low insertion force (LIF) design. The connector is rated for 0.5A DC and 50V DC, with a contact resistance of 30mΩ max initial and insulation resistance of 500MΩ min. It operates over a temperature range of -25°C to +85°C.
The housing is made of heat-resistant polyamide (PA6T) with a UL94 V-0 flammability rating, suitable for reflow soldering processes. The contacts are phosphor bronze with a tin finish. The connector accepts FFC cables with a thickness of 0.30mm and a conductor pitch of 1.0mm. It is supplied in embossed tape packaging for automated pick-and-place assembly.
This connector is part of JST's FMN series, which offers compact, high-density design for FFC connections. The vertical orientation allows for space-saving board layouts. The non-ZIF (zero insertion force) type requires manual insertion of the FFC.
