The 20ETF02S is a 200V, 20A fast soft recovery rectifier diode from Vishay Dale's 20ETF..S Soft Recovery series. It is designed for output rectification and freewheeling in inverters, choppers, and converters, as well as input rectification where severe restrictions on conducted EMI must be met.
The device offers a maximum average forward current of 20A at a case temperature of 97°C with 180° conduction half sine wave. It features a low forward voltage drop of 1.2V typical at 10A and 25°C, and a fast reverse recovery time of 60ns typical at 1A and 100A/µs. The diode can handle non-repetitive peak surge currents up to 300A (10ms sine pulse, no voltage reapplied).
The 20ETF02S is housed in a surface mount TO-263-3 (D2PAK) package with a common cathode configuration. It operates over a junction temperature range of -40°C to 150°C and has a maximum thermal resistance of 0.9°C/W from junction to case. Glass passivation ensures stable and reliable operation under severe temperature and power cycling conditions.
