Key electrical specifications include an impulse discharge current rating of 4kA (8/20 μs waveform), insulation resistance greater than 10¹⁰ Ω, and capacitance less than 1 pF. The device exhibits a glow voltage of approximately 70V and an arc voltage of approximately 10V, with a glow-arc transition current below 0.5A. The DC holdover voltage is 135V.

 

The GDT is housed in a 3-SMD cylinder square end package suitable for surface mount assembly. It operates over a temperature range of -40°C to +90°C and can be stored between -55°C and +90°C. Bourns offers RoHS compliant versions of this series.
