The Bourns 2027-60-SM-RPLF is a precision gas discharge tube (GDT) surge protector from the 2027-SM series. It is a 2-electrode surface mount device designed for economical assembly and high surge current handling. The DC sparkover voltage is 600 V with a ±15% tolerance.

 

This GDT features an impulse sparkover voltage of 850 V at 100 V/µs and 1100 V at 1000 V/µs. It can withstand a single 8/20 µs impulse discharge current of 25000 A and a minimum of 10 operations at 10000 A. The glow voltage is approximately 70 V at 10 mA and the arc voltage is about 10 V at above 1 A, with a glow-arc transition current of less than 0.5 A.

 

The device offers very low capacitance of less than 1 pF at 1 MHz and high insulation resistance greater than 10¹⁰ Ω at 100 V. It comes in a compact 2-SMD cylinder square end package measuring 8 mm in diameter and 6 mm in length.
