The Bourns 2027-15-SM-RPLF is a surface mount Gas Discharge Tube (GDT) from the 2027 series, designed for surge protection in telecommunications, commercial, and industrial applications. It features a DC sparkover voltage of 150V nominal with ±15% tolerance and an impulse sparkover of 350V typical at 100 V/μs and 575V at 1000 V/μs.
This two-electrode GDT offers high surge current capability with a minimum impulse discharge current of 25kA (8/20 μs) for a single operation and 10kA for more than 10 operations. It provides very low capacitance of less than 1 pF at 1 MHz and high insulation resistance greater than 10¹⁰ Ω, making it suitable for high-speed signal lines. The glow voltage is approximately 70V at 10 mA, arc voltage is around 10V above 1 A, and the glow-arc transition current is below 0.5 A.
