The 1SMB5931BT3 is a 3W surface mount Zener diode from On Semiconductor's 1SMB59xxBT3 series. It features a nominal Zener voltage of 18V with ±5% tolerance, suitable for voltage regulation, overvoltage protection, and clipping circuits. The device offers a maximum power dissipation of 3W at a lead temperature of 75°C, derated at 40 mW/°C above that, and 550 mW at 25°C ambient. Thermal resistance is 25°C/W junction-to-lead and 226°C/W junction-to-ambient, enabling effective thermal management. The reverse leakage current is a maximum of 1 µA at 13.7V. The diode is rated for ESD Class 3 (>16 kV HBM) and has a flammability rating of UL 94 V-0.
