The 1SMB12AT3 is a 600W peak power Zener-based transient voltage suppressor designed to protect voltage-sensitive components from high-voltage, high-energy transients. It offers a reverse standoff voltage of 12V, a Zener breakdown voltage of 6.7V, and a maximum clamping voltage of 19.9V. The device features a fast response time of typically less than 1 ns and an ESD rating of Class 3 (>16 kV) per the Human Body Model.
This unidirectional TVS diode is housed in an SMB (DO-214AA) surface mount package with modified L-bend leads for improved solderability. It operates over a temperature range of -65°C to +150°C and can withstand a peak power dissipation of 600W for a 1 ms pulse width. The package is void-free, transfer-molded thermosetting plastic with corrosion-resistant leads.
Typical applications include communication systems, automotive electronics, numerical controls, process controls, medical equipment, business machines, and power supplies. The device is available in Pb-Free packages and is RoHS3 compliant (unverified).
