The 1N972B is a Zener diode from On Semiconductor, part of the 1N957B-1N979B series. It features a nominal zener voltage of 30V with ±5% tolerance. The diode can dissipate up to 500mW of power at 75°C lead temperature, derating at 4.0mW/°C above that. Maximum impedance at the test current is 49Ω. Reverse leakage current is 5µA at 22.8V.
