The 1N6638US is a surface mount standard switching diode from Microchip Technology, designed for high-speed switching applications. It is rated for a maximum reverse voltage of 125V and a breakdown voltage of 150V. The average rectified current is 300mA with a forward voltage of 1.1V at 200mA. The diode offers an ultra-fast reverse recovery time of 4.5ns and very low capacitance of 2.5pF at 0V, making it suitable for high-frequency data lines, RS-232/422 interfaces, Ethernet 10 Base T, switching core drivers, LAN, and computer peripherals.
The device is packaged in a voidless hermetically sealed hard glass SQ-MELF D-5D package with tin-lead plated terminations. It supports surface mount mounting and operates over a junction temperature range of -65°C to 175°C. Thermal resistance is 40°C/W junction-to-end cap and 250°C/W junction-to-ambient. The diode is qualified to MIL-PRF-19500/578 with JAN, JANTX, JANTXV, and JANS levels available. RoHS compliant versions are available for commercial grade only.
