The 1N6359 is a unidirectional Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) diode designed for general purpose applications. It provides 1500W peak pulse power dissipation at 10/1000µs waveform. The device has a reverse standoff voltage of 12V and a maximum clamping voltage of 16.5V at 70A peak pulse current. It features a low clamping factor of 1.33 at full rated power and a fast response time of less than 100 ps. The device is housed in a hermetically sealed DO-13 (DO-202AA) metal package for through-hole mounting. It operates over a junction temperature range of -65°C to +175°C. The 1N6359 is suitable for protecting sensitive electronics from inductive switching transients, ESD, and EFT per IEC standards. Available in RoHS compliant versions.
