The 1N6290A is a unidirectional Zener transient voltage suppressor from ON Semiconductor's 1N6267A series. It is designed to protect sensitive electronics from high-voltage transients with a peak power rating of 1500W for a 1ms pulse. Key features include an extremely fast response time of less than 1 ns and an ESD rating of Class 3 (over 16 kV) per the Human Body Model.
Electrical characteristics: 53V working peak reverse voltage (standoff), 85V maximum clamping voltage, reverse leakage current below 5 µA above 10V, forward surge current of 200A, and steady-state power dissipation of 5W at lead temperature 75°C. The device operates over a junction temperature range of -65°C to 175°C.
The 1N6290A is housed in a void-free DO-201AD axial leaded package for through-hole mounting. Leads are Pb-free and solderable up to 230°C for 10 seconds. Polarity is indicated by a cathode band. This device is suitable for general-purpose circuit protection in communication systems, industrial controls, and power supplies.
