1N6282ARL4G is a 1500W unidirectional TVS diode from On Semiconductor, part of the 1N6267A Series Mosorb devices. These Zener transient voltage suppressors are designed to protect voltage sensitive components from high voltage, high-energy transients. They offer excellent clamping capability, high surge capability, low zener impedance, and fast response time.
Key electrical specifications include a working peak reverse voltage range of 5.8V to 214V across the series, with this device having a working peak reverse voltage of 25.6V and a maximum clamping voltage of 41.4V. Peak power dissipation is 1500W at 1ms, with a forward surge current rating of 200A. The device features an ESD rating of Class 3 (>16kV) per Human Body Model and a typical response time of less than 1ns. Steady state power dissipation is 5.0W at lead temperature 75°C.
The 1N6282ARL4G is packaged in an axial lead, through-hole case (Case 41A plastic). Lead style is axial, and mounting type is through hole. The device has a thermal resistance junction-to-lead of 20°C/W and operates over a temperature range of -65°C to 175°C (TJ). Maximum lead temperature for soldering is 260°C for 10 seconds. Packaging is tape and reel with a standard quantity of 1500 units.
These devices are ideally suited for use in communication systems, numerical controls, process controls, medical equipment, business machines, power supplies, and many other industrial and consumer applications. They are designed to protect CMOS, MOS, and bipolar integrated circuits. Pb-free packages are available and the devices are RoHS compliant (unverified).
