The 1N6151A is a bidirectional transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode from Semtech, part of the 1N6138A-1N6173A family. It provides a reverse standoff voltage of 18.2V and clamps transient overvoltages to a maximum of 33.3V at a peak pulse current of 45A (10/1000μs waveform). With a peak pulse power rating of 1500W, this device is designed to protect sensitive circuits from voltage transients induced by lightning, ESD, and other surge events.
This TVS diode features a voidless hermetically sealed glass package with axial leads, suitable for through-hole mounting. It is qualified per MIL-PRF-19500/516 for high-reliability applications. The device uses double-layer passivation and internal Category 1 metallurgical bonds for robust performance in harsh environments.
Typical applications include military and aerospace electronics, industrial control systems, and any circuit requiring reliable transient protection. The operating temperature range is -65°C to 175°C.
