The Microchip Technology 1N6055A is a bidirectional transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode from the 1N6036A-1N6072A series. It features a working voltage (VWM) of 40V, a clamping voltage of 64.8V at 23.2A peak pulse current, and a peak pulse power rating of 1500W (10/1000 µs waveform). The device has an extremely fast response time of less than 100 ps, making it suitable for protecting sensitive electronics from ESD, EFT, and inductive switching transients.
The 1N6055A is housed in a hermetically sealed DO-13 (DO-202AA) metal and glass package with axial leads for through-hole mounting. It operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to +175°C and can dissipate 1W average power at 125°C lead temperature.
