The 1N5824 is a Schottky rectifier diode from Solid State Devices Inc (SSDI). It is designed for high-efficiency rectification with a low forward voltage drop of 370 mV at 5 A, enabling reduced power dissipation in power supply and polarity protection circuits.
With a maximum DC reverse voltage rating of 30 V and average rectified current of 15 A, this diode is suitable for low-voltage, high-current switching applications. Its fast recovery time (≤500 ns, >200 mA) makes it effective in high-frequency rectification.
The diode is housed in an Axial through-hole package, allowing easy manual assembly and heatsinking. It operates over a junction temperature range of -65°C to 125°C, ensuring reliability in harsh environments.
