The 1N5822-E3/54 is a Schottky barrier plastic rectifier from Vishay, designed for low voltage, high frequency applications. It features a repetitive peak reverse voltage of 40 V and an average forward current of 3 A. The forward voltage drop is typically 525 mV at 3 A, minimizing conduction losses. The device can handle a peak forward surge current of 80 A, making it robust for transient conditions.
This rectifier includes a guardring for overvoltage protection and offers extremely fast switching, suitable for inverter circuits, freewheeling diodes, DC/DC converters, and polarity protection. The operating junction temperature range is -65°C to +125°C, with a storage temperature range of the same.
The diode is packaged in a through-hole DO-201AD axial package, with a matte tin plated leads and a color band indicating the cathode. It is RoHS-compliant (E3 suffix) and meets UL 94 V-0 flammability rating.
