The 1N5821 is a Schottky rectifier diode designed for low-voltage, high-frequency rectification applications. It has a maximum repetitive reverse voltage of 30V and an average rectified forward current rating of 3A.
The diode offers a low forward voltage drop of 500mV at 3A, which reduces power dissipation and improves efficiency. It is a fast recovery device with recovery time less than 500ns at forward currents above 200mA. The junction capacitance is 190pF at 4V and 1MHz.
The 1N5821 is housed in a DO-201AD axial-lead through-hole package and operates over a temperature range of -65°C to 125°C. It is suitable for use in power supplies, polarity protection, and freewheeling diode circuits.
