The 1N5819 is a Schottky barrier rectifier from On Semiconductor, rated for a peak repetitive reverse voltage of 40V and an average rectified forward current of 1A. It features a low forward voltage of 0.9V at 3A and a non-repetitive peak surge current of 40A, making it suitable for high-efficiency rectification in power supplies and polarity protection circuits.
This device uses Schottky barrier technology for majority carrier conduction, resulting in low stored charge and fast switching. It is housed in a through-hole DO-41 (DO-204AL) axial lead package, with a junction temperature range of -65°C to 125°C and a maximum junction temperature of 150°C. The thermal resistance junction-to-ambient is 80°C/W.
