The 1N5817 is a Schottky barrier rectifier diode from On Semiconductor, designed for low-voltage, high-frequency applications. It is part of the 1N5817/1N5818/1N5819 series and offers a peak repetitive reverse voltage of 20V and an average rectified forward current of 1A. The forward voltage is extremely low at 450mV at 1A, reducing power loss and improving efficiency.
This diode features a fast recovery time of less than 500ns, making it suitable for switching applications. It also has a low junction capacitance of 110pF at 4V and 1MHz, and a forward surge current rating of 25A for one cycle. The device is ESD rated with machine model >400V and human body model >8000V.
