The 1N5652A is a unidirectional Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) diode from Microchip Technology, part of the 1N5629 through 1N5665A series. It is designed to protect sensitive electronics from voltage transients caused by inductive switching, RF effects, and secondary lightning effects as defined in IEC61000-4-5.
This device features a reverse standoff voltage of 53V and a clamping voltage of 85V at a peak pulse current of 17.7A. It can handle 1500W of peak pulse power (10/1000 µs waveform) and responds to transients in less than 100 picoseconds, making it suitable for ESD and EFT protection per IEC61000-4-2 and IEC61000-4-4.
The 1N5652A is packaged in a hermetic sealed DO-13 (DO-202AA) metal package with through-hole mounting and axial leads. It operates over a junction temperature range of -65°C to 175°C and is intended for general purpose applications including avionics and industrial systems.
