The 1N5408-E3/54 is a general purpose rectifier diode from Vishay Dale, part of the 1N5400 series. It features a maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage of 1000V and an average rectified current of 3A. The device offers a low forward voltage drop of 1.2V at 3A, low leakage current of 5µA, and high surge capability of 200A peak forward surge current (8.3ms single half sine-wave).
It is housed in a DO-201AD axial lead package with through-hole mounting, suitable for solder dip at 275°C max for 10 seconds. The molding compound meets UL 94 V-0 flammability rating, and the terminals are matte tin plated leads, solderable per J-STD-002 and JESD 22-B102. The E3 suffix indicates RoHS compliance.
