The 1N5406RL is a standard recovery rectifier diode from ON Semiconductor, designed for general purpose power supply and other applications requiring high current to small size. It is rated for a peak repetitive reverse voltage of 600V and an average forward current of 3A. The forward voltage drop is typically 1V at 3A, and the device can handle surge currents up to 200A.
