The 1N5406-E3/54 is a general purpose plastic rectifier diode from Vishay's 1N5400 series. It features a maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage of 600V and an average forward rectified current of 3A at a lead temperature of 105°C. The device offers a low forward voltage drop of 1.2V at 3A and a high forward surge capability of 200A, making it suitable for power supply rectification, inverters, converters, and freewheeling diode applications.
The diode is housed in a DO-201AD molded epoxy body with matte tin plated axial leads, designed for through-hole mounting. It is RoHS-compliant (E3 suffix) and meets UL 94 V-0 flammability rating.
