The 1N5400 is a standard recovery rectifier diode from ON Semiconductor, designed for general purpose power supply and other applications requiring a 3.0 A average rectified forward current. It features a peak repetitive reverse voltage of 50 V and a non-repetitive peak reverse voltage of 100 V.
This device offers a high surge current capability of 200 A (non-repetitive) and a low forward voltage drop of 1.0 V maximum at 3 A and 25°C. The reverse current is limited to 10 µA at rated DC voltage and 25°C, and 100 µA at 150°C.
The 1N5400 is packaged in a DO-201AD axial lead case, suitable for through-hole mounting. The operating junction temperature range is -65°C to +170°C, and the storage temperature range is -65°C to +175°C. The thermal resistance from junction to ambient is typically 53 °C/W with PC board mounting and 1/2" leads.
