The 1N5372BRLG is a 62V Zener diode from On Semiconductor, part of the 1N53 Series of 5W Surmetic 40 voltage regulators. It is housed in an axial lead, transfer-molded thermosetting plastic package with corrosion-resistant, solderable leads. The device offers a nominal Zener voltage of 62V with ±5% tolerance and a maximum power dissipation of 5W at 25°C lead temperature, derated 40mW/°C above 25°C. Maximum impedance (Zzt) is 42Ω. The forward voltage drop is 1.2V at 1A, and reverse leakage current is 500nA at 47.1V. The diode is rated for ESD protection class 3 (>16 kV) per Human Body Model and can withstand surge power up to 180W for 8.3ms. The junction-to-lead thermal resistance is 25°C/W. Operating and storage temperature range is -65°C to 200°C, with a maximum lead temperature for soldering of 260°C for 10 seconds. Polarity is indicated by a cathode band, and the device can be mounted in any position. This through-hole component is suitable for voltage regulation, overvoltage protection, and other general-purpose Zener applications in power supplies and industrial electronics.
