The 1N5339BRL is a 5.6V Zener diode from the Surmetic 40 series, designed for voltage regulation applications. It offers a nominal Zener voltage of 5.6V with a tolerance of ±5% and a maximum power dissipation of 5W at 25°C lead temperature.
The diode features a low Zener impedance of 1 ohm at IZT and a maximum reverse leakage current of 1 µA at 2V. It has a forward voltage of 1.2V at 1A. The device is rated for ESD protection of Class 3 (>16 kV) and can handle non-repetitive surge power up to 180W for 8.3 ms.
The operating temperature range is -65°C to 200°C. The junction-to-lead thermal resistance is 25°C/W, and the power derating factor is 40 mW/°C above 25°C. The diode is available in an axial lead T-18 package with through-hole mounting.
