The 1N5228B-TR is a small signal Zener diode from Vishay Dale designed for voltage stabilization applications. It features a nominal Zener voltage of 3.9V with a tolerance of ±5% (B suffix) and a maximum power dissipation of 500mW at lead temperature ≤25°C. The diode has a maximum impedance of 23Ω at test current 20mA and a reverse leakage current of 10µA at 1V. The forward voltage is 1.1V maximum at 200mA. The device is housed in a DO-35 (DO-204AH) axial leaded package suitable for through-hole mounting. It is rated for junction temperatures up to 175°C and storage from -65°C to 175°C. The molding compound is UL 94 V-0 rated and moisture sensitivity level is MSL 1. This diode is also available in surface mount variants such as TZM5228B (MiniMELF), MMBZ5228B (SOT-23), and MMSZ5228B (SOD-123).
