The 1N4937 is an axial-lead fast recovery rectifier designed by ON Semiconductor for applications such as DC power supplies, inverters, converters, ultrasonic systems, choppers, low RF interference, and free wheeling diodes. It offers a typical reverse recovery time of 150 nanoseconds, enabling high efficiency at frequencies up to 250 kHz.
Key electrical ratings include a peak repetitive reverse voltage of 600 V, average rectified forward current of 1 A, forward voltage drop of 1.2 V at 1 A, non-repetitive peak surge current of 30 A, and junction capacitance of 12 pF at 4 V, 1 MHz. The operating junction temperature range is -50°C to 150°C.
The device is through-hole mounted, supplied in a DO-204AL (DO-41) axial lead package. It weighs approximately 0.4 grams and features epoxy molded case with corrosion-resistant leads. The datasheet indicates this is a Pb-Free device.
