The 1N4936GP-E3/73 is a glass passivated junction fast switching plastic rectifier diode from Vishay Dale, part of the Superectifier family. It is designed for use in fast switching rectification of power supplies, inverters, converters, and freewheeling diode applications in consumer and telecommunication equipment.
Key electrical specifications include a maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage of 400 V, average forward current of 1 A at TA = 75°C, forward voltage of 1.2 V at 1 A, and reverse recovery time of 200 ns. The diode can handle a peak forward surge current of 30 A (8.3 ms single half sine-wave) and has a typical junction capacitance of 15 pF. Reverse leakage current is 5 µA at 25°C and 100 µA at 125°C.
The device is housed in a DO-204AL (DO-41) through-hole package with axial leads and matte tin plated terminations. Polarity is indicated by a color band on the cathode. The operating temperature range is -65°C to 175°C, and the junction temperature maximum is 175°C. The molding compound meets UL 94 V-0 flammability rating.
