The 1N4935 is a fast recovery rectifier diode from ON Semiconductor, part of the 1N4933-1N4937 family designed for high-efficiency applications. It features a peak repetitive reverse voltage of 200V and an average forward current of 1A, with a typical reverse recovery time of 150 ns enabling operation at frequencies up to 250 kHz. The forward voltage drop is 1.2V at 1A forward current, and the device can handle non-repetitive surge currents up to 30A.
This diode is housed in a through-hole DO-41 axial lead package, suitable for leaded mounting. It operates over a junction temperature range of -65°C to +150°C and has a thermal resistance of 65°C/W junction-to-ambient. The part is Pb-Free and RoHS compliant, and is available in bulk (1000 per bag) or tape and reel (5000 per reel).
Typical applications include DC power supplies, inverters, converters, ultrasonic systems, choppers, and freewheeling diodes in inductive circuits. Its fast recovery characteristics minimize switching losses and reduce RF interference.
