The 1N485 is a general purpose switching diode housed in a hermetically sealed glass DO-7 package. It features a metallurgically bonded double plug construction and is rated for a DC reverse voltage of 180V and a forward current of 100mA with a forward voltage drop of 1V at 100mA. The diode offers a surge current capability of 2A and a total power dissipation of 500mW at 25°C. The operating temperature range is -65°C to +175°C, with a thermal impedance of 70°C/W. The leads are made of copper clad steel with a tin/lead finish. This diode is also available as 1N485A and 1N485B variants and meets MIL-PRF-19500/118 standards.
