The 1N458A is a small signal diode designed for general purpose rectification and switching applications. It features a maximum repetitive reverse voltage of 150V and an average rectified forward current of 500mA. The diode can handle a non-repetitive peak forward surge current of 1.0A for a 1.0s pulse.
Electrical characteristics include a forward voltage of 1.0V at 100mA and a reverse leakage current of 25nA at 125V. The breakdown voltage is 150V minimum at 100µA. The device has a power dissipation of 500mW and an operating junction temperature up to 175°C.
The 1N458A is housed in a DO-35 (DO-204AH) axial lead package, suitable for through-hole mounting. It is Pb-Free and RoHS3 compliant (unverified). The standard recovery speed (>500ns, >200mA) makes it appropriate for low-frequency rectification.
