The 1N4006G-T is a glass passivated standard recovery rectifier diode designed for general purpose power conversion. It features a maximum peak repetitive reverse voltage of 800V and an average rectified output current of 1A at 75°C ambient. The diode offers a low forward voltage drop of 1V at 1A and a non-repetitive peak forward surge current rating of 30A, making it suitable for applications with high inrush currents.
The device is packaged in a DO-41 molded plastic case with tin-plated axial leads and is marked with the cathode band for polarity identification. It is RoHS compliant and has an MSL rating of Level 1. The operating temperature range spans -65°C to 175°C, with a typical thermal resistance of 100°C/W junction to ambient.
This rectifier is commonly used in power supplies, battery chargers, and other AC to DC conversion circuits where 800V blocking voltage and 1A forward current are required. The 2 microsecond typical reverse recovery time allows for standard speed switching in 50/60Hz applications.
