The 1N4006-E3/54 is a general purpose plastic rectifier diode from Vishay General Semiconductor, part of the industry-standard 1N400x family. It is rated for a repetitive peak reverse voltage of 800V and an average rectified forward current of 1A, making it suitable for a wide range of power supply and rectification applications.
This device features a low forward voltage drop of 1.1V at 1A, low reverse leakage current of 5 µA, and a high forward surge current capability of 30A (8.3 ms sine-wave). It is a standard recovery diode with recovery time greater than 500ns, designed for 50/60 Hz mains frequency rectification.
The 1N4006-E3/54 is housed in a DO-204AL (DO-41) axial lead through-hole package with molded epoxy body meeting UL 94 V-0 flammability rating. The leads are matte tin plated and solderable per J-STD-002 and JESD 22-B102. The device operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to +150°C.
Typical applications include general purpose rectification in power supplies, inverters, converters, and as freewheeling diodes. The E3 suffix indicates RoHS-compliant commercial grade.
