The 1N4006 is a standard recovery rectifier diode designed for general-purpose low-power applications. It features a peak repetitive reverse voltage of 800V and an average rectified forward current of 1A, with a forward voltage drop of 1.1V at 1A. The device can handle a non-repetitive peak surge current of 30A for one cycle at 60Hz.
This diode is suitable for applications requiring standard recovery with a recovery time greater than 500ns. The junction capacitance is 15pF at 4V and 1MHz. The operating junction temperature range is -65°C to +150°C.
The 1N4006 is offered in a DO-204AL, DO-41 axial lead package, with through-hole mounting. It is available in bulk, tape and reel, and fan-fold packaging. The device features a cathode band polarity indicator and solderable lead finish.
