The 1N4005 is a standard recovery rectifier diode from On Semiconductor, part of the 1N400x family. It features a peak repetitive reverse voltage of 600V and an average rectified forward current of 1A. The forward voltage drop is typically 1.1V at 1A. This diode is designed for general-purpose low-power applications requiring rectification.
