The 1N4004-E3/73 is a general purpose plastic rectifier diode from Vishay Dale. It is designed for use in power supply rectification, inverters, converters, and freewheeling diode applications.
Key electrical specifications include a maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage (VRRM) of 400V, an average forward rectified current (IF(AV)) of 1A, and a typical forward voltage drop (VF) of 1.1V at 1A. The device offers a high forward surge current capability (IFSM) of 30A for an 8.3ms sine wave. Reverse leakage current (IR) is typically 5µA at rated VRRM. The diode features standard recovery with a reverse recovery time greater than 500ns. Junction capacitance is 15pF at 4V and 1MHz.
