The 1N4003 is a standard recovery rectifier diode from NTE Electronics, designed for general-purpose rectification in power supplies and other applications. It offers a repetitive peak reverse voltage of 200V and an average forward current of 1A. The forward voltage drop is typically 1.1V at 1A.
This diode can handle peak forward surge currents up to 30A (8.3ms half-sine wave), making it robust for inrush current conditions. The reverse recovery time is 1500ns, typical for standard recovery types. Reverse leakage current is less than 5µA at 25°C. Junction capacitance is 15pF at 4V and 1MHz.
The device is housed in a DO-41 (DO-204AL) axial-lead through-hole package, suitable for automated insertion and hand soldering. The operating junction temperature range is -55°C to 175°C. It is rated for 50/60Hz mains rectification, power supply polarity protection, and commercial/industrial grade circuits.
The repetitive peak reverse voltage (VRRM) is 200V.
The average forward rectified current (IFAV) is 1A with resistive load at 75°C ambient.
The forward voltage (VF) is 1.1V at 1A forward current.
The reverse recovery time (trr) is 1500ns typical.
The 1N4003 is available in a DO-41 (DO-204AL) axial-lead through-hole package.
The peak forward surge current (IFSM) is 30A for a half-sine wave at 60Hz (8.3ms).
The operating junction temperature range is -55°C to 175°C.
