The 1N4001-E3/73 is a general purpose plastic rectifier diode from Vishay Dale, designed for standard recovery applications. It features a maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage of 50 V and an average forward current of 1 A. The forward voltage is typically 1.1 V at 1 A, and the device can handle peak forward surge currents up to 30 A (8.3 ms sine wave) and 45 A (1 ms square wave).
This diode offers low forward voltage drop, low leakage current (5 μA at 25°C), and high forward surge capability. It is rated for an operating temperature range of -50°C to +150°C, with a maximum junction temperature of 150°C. The I2t rating is 3.7 A²s for short-duration overloads.
The 1N4001-E3/73 is packaged in a DO-204AL (DO-41) axial leaded case with molded epoxy body meeting UL 94 V-0 flammability rating. Terminals are matte tin plated leads, solderable per J-STD-002 and JESD 22-B102. The E3 suffix indicates RoHS-compliant commercial grade.
