The 1N4001-E3/54 is a general purpose plastic rectifier diode from Vishay Dale, part of the 1N400x series. It is designed for general purpose rectification in power supplies, inverters, converters, and freewheeling diode applications.
With a maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage of 50V and average forward current of 1A, it offers a typical forward voltage drop of 1.1V at 1A. The device can handle peak forward surge currents up to 30A (8.3 ms sine-wave) and 45A (square wave, 1 ms). Reverse leakage current is limited to 5 µA. The diode has a standard recovery time greater than 500 ns.
The diode is housed in a DO-41 (DO-204AL) axial leaded package with through hole mounting. The molded epoxy body meets UL 94 V-0 flammability rating. Terminals are matte tin plated leads, solderable per J-STD-002 and JESD 22-B102. The E3 suffix indicates RoHS3 compliance. Operating junction temperature range is -50°C to +150°C.
