The 1N4001 is a subminiature, axial lead-mounted rectifier diode suitable for general-purpose low-power applications. It is manufactured by GS and offers a 1A average rectified forward current at 75°C and a peak repetitive reverse voltage of 50V.
This diffused junction rectifier has a maximum instantaneous forward voltage drop of 1.1V at 1A and 25°C, and a maximum full-cycle average forward voltage drop of 0.8V at 1A and 75°C. The operating and storage junction temperature range is from -65°C to +175°C.
The diode is housed in a molded epoxy case and features corrosion-resistant, readily solderable terminals. It is available in various packaging options, including plastic bags (1000 per bag), tape and reeled (5000 per reel), and fan-fold packaging (3000 per box).
Pb-free packages are also available for this series.
