This heavy duty connector hood is part of the Han HPR series from Harting, designed for harsh outdoor environments. It features a size 16B top entry configuration with a single M40 cable entry and screw locking mechanism.
The housing is made of corrosion-resistant aluminium die-cast with a powder-coated finish in RAL 9005 jet black. Screw locks are stainless steel, tightened to 4 Nm. The operating temperature range is -40°C to +125°C.
Ingress protection ratings include IP65, IP68, and IP69/IPX9K. UL type ratings 4, 4X, and 12 apply (per UL 50/50E). The hood meets EN 45545-2 fire protection requirements for railway applications. Weight is 520 g.
