The Rosenberger 18S102-40ML5 is a Mini-SMP straight plug PCB coaxial connector designed for high-frequency applications up to 65 GHz. It features a 50 Ohm impedance and a snap-on full detent fastening mechanism with typical engagement force of 19 N and disengagement force of 29 N. The connector is surface mount with solder contact and shield termination.
Electrical performance includes return loss of ≥19 dB DC to 26.5 GHz, ≥13 dB 26.5 to 40 GHz, and ≥9 dB 40 to 65 GHz. Insertion loss is ≤0.05 x √f dB DC to 26.5 GHz. Center contact resistance is ≤6.0 mOhm, outer contact resistance ≤2.0 mOhm, and insulation resistance ≥5 GOhm. Working voltage is 325 V rms at sea level.
The connector is constructed with a beryllium copper center contact and brass outer contact, both with AuroDur gold plating. The dielectric material is PEEK. It operates over a temperature range of -55°C to +155°C and is rated for at least 100 mating cycles. Packaging is tape and reel with a weight of 0.3 g per piece. Maximum soldering temperature is +260°C for 10 seconds.
