The Kyocera AVX 1825PC105KAT2A is a 1 µF multilayer ceramic chip capacitor (MLCC) rated for 250V DC. It uses X7R dielectric, offering a capacitance change of ±15% over the -55°C to +125°C operating temperature range. The component is housed in an 1825 (4564 Metric) case with dimensions 4.50mm x 6.40mm x 2.54mm (max), suitable for surface-mount assembly.
Designed as a Tip & Ring capacitor, this part is optimized for telecom line interface circuits where it blocks -48V DC telephone line voltage while passing AC ring signals (16-25Hz, 70-90Vrms). It replaces larger leaded film capacitors, saving board space and reducing weight. The termination is plated nickel and tin (RoHS compliant), ensuring reliable solder joints.
