This Kyocera AVX 1825GC103KAT1A is a high voltage multilayer ceramic capacitor (MLCC) designed for demanding applications such as snubbers, resonators, and DC blocking in high frequency power converters. It features a capacitance of 10000 pF, a voltage rating of 2000V DC, and an X7R dielectric with ±10% tolerance. The component is housed in a 1825 (4564 Metric) surface mount package measuring 4.50mm x 6.40mm with a maximum thickness of 2.54mm.
High voltage MLCCs from Kyocera AVX are engineered for low equivalent series resistance (ESR) at high frequencies, enabling efficient operation in switch mode power supplies. Due to the large physical size, reflow soldering is recommended, with a maximum temperature gradient of 4°C per second to avoid thermal shock. The termination is plated nickel and tin, which is RoHS compliant per the datasheet.
This capacitor operates over a temperature range of -55°C to 125°C and is suitable for general purpose high voltage applications. It is supplied in tape and reel packaging (7" reel) for automated assembly. For best results, follow the manufacturer's soldering guidelines to prevent external arcing.
