The Kyocera AVX 1812AC473KAT2A is a high voltage multilayer ceramic capacitor (MLCC) designed for demanding applications requiring a 0.047 µF capacitance at 1000V (1kV). It features an X7R dielectric, offering a stable capacitance over a wide temperature range of -55°C to +125°C with a temperature coefficient of ±15%.
This capacitor is built for surface mount assembly using an 1812 (4532 Metric) package with a maximum thickness of 2.80 mm. The termination finish is plated nickel and tin (Ni/Sn), making it RoHS compliant. As a high voltage MLCC, it is suitable for use in high frequency power converters, snubber circuits, SMPS resonators, and DC blocking applications.
Due to its larger physical size (1812), reflow soldering is recommended. Care should be taken to control temperature gradients during assembly (not exceeding 4°C per second) to prevent damage. The part is supplied on tape and reel packaging.
